American Bucking Bull Inc. (ABBI) announced today that an ABBI Judging Committee, comprised of active ABBI judges and ABBI competitors, has been formed.
"We are the world's largest bucking cattle DNA Registry, but we are also a competitive event organization dedicated to putting on the best events for our members," explained ABBI Executive Director Jay Daugherty. "I wanted to be able to offer more involvement and a voice from those that are ingrained into our sport- and the ABBI Judging Committee will do just that."
The committee will be meeting monthly to work on various subjects which will include, but not be limited to, individual judging issues and trends. The most important focus will be on judging education. Future goals include doing a standalone ABBI judges seminars where not only will the judges participate, but ABBI breeders and competitors as well.
"Being DNA registered, being entered in our programs like American Heritage and Revolution, and competing at ABBI events are all ways to increase the value and earning potential of your animals," said Daugherty. "We take great pride in having well-trained and fair judges and continuously strive to improve our judging program and this is a key step in making sure our events are the best they can be."
The ABBI judging committee will consist of: Jay Daugherty, Slade Long, Dean Wilson, Royd Doyal, Hayden Shaw, Laramie Wilson, Monte Mask, Dean Randolph and Cody May.
