PUEBLO, Colo. (Dec. 17, 2015)-ABBI is committed to growing the industry and rewarding its members' bucking bulls who are stand-outs in our sport. ABBI presented over $15,000 during the last two weeks in bonus money and registration credits to the Top PRCA and WNFR bulls that were ABBI registered, as well as the to the owners of those animals' ABBI registered sires and dams.
“We were excited to see how many ABBI registered bulls bucked at the Wrangler’s National Finals Rodeo this year. We want to congratulate all of our members who had the honor of having a bull selected for the WNFR,” said ABBI Executive Director Jay Daugherty. “We are proud to be able to recognize those DNA-registered bucking bulls and their sires and dams who excelled during the regular PRCA season and in Las Vegas.”
The Top 3 WNFR bulls were Bruiser from D&H in first, Crystal Deal from Don and Janelle Kish in second and in third was Air Marshall from D&H. All received ABBI bonuses this week for their performances and bloodlines.
D&H received $2,000 for Bruiser's performance- $1,000 for his win and an additional $1,000 for being the owners of his ABBI registered sire and dam. Crystal Deal brought the Kishes $750 for how he placed and another $1,000 for his sire and dam. Air Marshall went home with a $500 bonus and the $500 for his sire went to Sammy Andrews and the $500 for his dam went to Hal Burns.
On December 5, ABBI presented awards to the Top 3 PRCA regular season bucking bulls at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa during the legendary Benny Binion’s Sale. Splitting third place, and splitting $1,000, was Half Nuts from Pete Carr Pro Rodeo and Cross the Wyoming Line from Summit Pro Rodeo. Each bull received $500 for how he placed, with Ken King's Box K receiving the bonus for having the sire/dam of Half Nuts. For Cross the Wyoming Line, John Tiemeyer received the sire bonus.
In second, earning a $2,500 bonus ($1,500 plus $500 apiece for sire and dam), was Sweet Pro’s Long John from D&H Cattle Co. The top ABBI registered PRCA bucking bull, receiving a $3,000 bonus ($2,000 for the win and $500 apiece for sire and dam), was Crystal Deal from Don and Janelle Kish/The Growney Bros.
