PUEBLO, Colo. (May 23, 2016)- American Bucking Bull Inc. (ABBI) announced today that they are extending an invitation to their upcoming June 10th Open Futurity at the American Heritage in Duncan, Okla. to members of the Oklahoma Bucking Bull Association.
“We’re happy that we’re going to have our friends at OBBA competing at the American Heritage Open Futurity,” said ABBI Executive Director Jay Daugherty. “ All three organizations (ABBI, UBBI, OBBA) are dedicated to growing and expanding our sport, so it only makes sense to offer the opportunity for OBBA to join us in this ground-breaking multi-association open event.”
Earlier this month, ABBI announced the co-sanctioned Open Futurity with United Bucking Bull Inc. (UBBI). Members will be able to gain valuable points to compete at the respective organizations Finals. The only prerequisite is that all Futurity bulls be DNA registered with the ABBI, and that stock contractors belong to one of the three organizations.
“We’re excited to do this- it is a step in the direction we want to go,” said OBBA’S Mike Paine. “This is just our second competitive season and this will be our first year holding a Final, so this is a really good start for us and we appreciate ABBI letting us join in this event.” Although a young organization, OBBA already has close to 100 members across five states.
“Everyone wants to buck bulls, have fun, and make some money,” said Paine. “Our involvement with ABBI and Jim McLain (American Heritage event producer) will help us reach some of our milestone goals that much faster and provide more opportunities for our members.”
