PUEBLO, Colo. (Dec. 3, 2016)- American Bucking Bull Inc. (ABBI) announced some exciting new additions to their World Finals and Year End payouts today. A $10,000 bonus will now be paid to the World Champion Futurity Bull in Las Vegas. There will also now be a $4,000 bonus for the Regular Season Yearling Champion.
“We’re excited to be able to add additional incentives for our members,” said ABBI Executive Director Jay Daugherty. “We are always trying to grow the sport in all divisions and classes, and we think this is a way to reward our members who compete with these younger bulls.”
The regular season top Yearling will also receive a custom buckle, a 20X Black Gold Resistol Hat, Two Bulls Feed Supplement and a bottle of Pendleton Whiskey. Second place will receive $2,000, with third place paying a bonus of $1,000.
Futurity bulls buck with a dummy (a remote-controlled weighted box) on their back; the yearling division uses a lighter box than the 2-year-old futurity class. Stock contractors compete season-long to qualify their animals for the World Finals in Las Vegas. ABBI recognizes and rewards Regular Season Champions in several divisions, with Yearling being the newest, as well as their Las Vegas Finals Champions in all categories. The 2017 ABBI World Finals will run Oct. 27- Nov. 5 at the South Point Arena in Las Vegas. The ABBI 2017 Regular Season events start Jan. 7 at Bordertown Casino in Seneca, Mo.
